Brought forth from our ruin, our Saviour from on high
Mandated to cleanse our sins and prophesized to die
Betrayed by his flock, mocked as he walks
Martyred on the cross for naught
He died bathed in blood
Plunged through an infernal myre, His skin and fat bubbling from the fire
Bestowed with unfettered scorn of His putrid human kin
Salacious offering of women feigning lust for Him
He begs release from pain as they hack His cock with chains
Reject the son of God
Seduced by sin, a fraud
Divine decree reversed
Our Christ, the whore
Purified by Gore
Betrayed
Now our sullen slave
Unholy torrid soul, called upon by death’s decay
Thy hallow decadence, blight that lead to ignorance
He can now see that hellish deeds will set him free
Granting inverted prayers, spreading cancer and killing heirs
The Nether Nazarene baptised in blood and fear
Undoing God’s design, raping priests and holy swine
Our necro saviour has arrived, to end His own bloodline
The gospel malicious, the creed surreptitious
Revelling in misery of all who claim piety
It was their fault, they harnessed hate
Now the sacred will rue their cursed fate
Reject the son of God
Seduced by sin, a fraud
Divine decree reversed
Our Christ, the whore

Hype is a funny thing. Usually when I hear everywhere "Dude this shit is 🔥" or even the dreaded and oft-used "AOTY!!" bullshit, I roll my eyes. And I rolled my eyes last year on the hype train for Carnosus. But again, for every thousandth breathless fanboy review I've seen, sometimes the album exceeds the expectation. So I will confidently tell you that, yes, "This shit is 🔥" as I wait for Willowtip to release that sweet Green Ghostly vinyl variant domestically 🤣 Finally a win for my wallet! bcb723

i checked out bands coming to my town, and xoth were on the list. at first i thought they were cheesy since i only liked metal to be deep, dark, and atmospheric .
i did enjoy the technical complexity, so i gave them another chance. i equated shredding with jockishness (ugh), but i now see it as a creative choice. i just had to approach it on my own terms, and xoth was the perfect gateway for this. they really opened up a new world for me. quasiotter
